How I Built 233+ Websites as One Person for $25/Month — The SPUNK13 Story
2026-03-27 · @SpunkArt13 · SPUNK13
This is the story of how one person — no team, no investors, no agency — built and operates 233+ live websites across 55 domain extensions, generating traffic from over 255,000 unique visitors in the first month alone. The total monthly cost: $25.
No exaggeration. No creative accounting. Twenty dollars for Claude Code (the AI coding assistant I use) and five dollars for Cloudflare Pro. That is the entire tech stack bill.
This post covers how it happened, the tools involved, the mistakes made, the revenue streams created, and the lessons learned. If you have ever wondered whether it is possible to build a massive web presence on a shoestring budget, this is your proof of concept.
The Stack: How $25/Month Powers 233 Sites
Claude Code — $20/month
Claude Code is an AI coding assistant from Anthropic. It is the engine behind every website, every tool, every blog post, and every line of CSS in the empire. I describe what I want — a meme generator, a BPM calculator, a blog post about hardstyle festivals — and Claude writes production-ready HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
The key insight: Claude does not just write code. It writes entire pages. Complete with SEO meta tags, Schema.org markup, responsive design, analytics integration, and cross-linking. One prompt can produce a fully deployable page.
This is what makes the math work. A human developer building 684 tools would take months. Claude can produce dozens per session. The speed-to-quality ratio is unlike anything that existed before AI coding assistants.
Cloudflare — $5/month (Pro plan)
Every website in the empire is hosted on Cloudflare — either through Cloudflare Pages (for static sites deployed from GitHub) or Cloudflare Workers (for sites needing server-side logic). The free tier handles most sites. The $5 Pro plan adds analytics, better caching, and increased Workers limits.
Cloudflare handles DNS, SSL certificates, CDN caching, DDoS protection, and email routing. For a $5 monthly cost, you get infrastructure that would cost hundreds at traditional hosting providers.
GitHub — Free
227 repositories. All public (the sites are public anyway). GitHub Pages handles hosting for some sites. The integration with Cloudflare Pages means pushing to GitHub automatically deploys the site. No CI/CD configuration needed beyond the initial setup.
Domain Registrations — Variable
The domain costs are the biggest expense outside the $25 stack. Domain renewals across 55 TLDs add up. But many TLDs can be found for $2-10/year at registrars like Namecheap, Porkbun, and Cloudflare Registrar (which offers domains at cost with zero markup).
The strategy: buy domains that match a niche (like ihardstyle.com for hardstyle music, clown.best for memes, caffeine.best for EDM culture) and build real content around them.
The Revenue Streams
Building websites is one thing. Making money from them is another. The SPUNK13 empire generates revenue through 22+ active streams:
- Google AdSense — Display ads across high-traffic pages. The empire's 255,000+ monthly visitors generate consistent ad impressions.
- Amazon Associates — Product recommendations on relevant pages. Tag: spunk01-20.
- Coinbase Referrals — Crypto referral links on relevant pages. Ref code: YAGES3X.
- Ledger Affiliate — Hardware wallet recommendations on crypto-related pages.
- Premium Tools — 331 premium tools available through paid subscriptions ($9.99/month or $99/year).
- Ebook Sales — 34 ebooks on topics ranging from crypto to side hustles.
- Art Commissions — Original digital art starting from $2,500.
- Consulting — Web empire building and strategy consulting.
- Marketplace — 13% fee on transactions through the spunk.codes marketplace.
- Tip/Donation System — PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, BTC, ETH, SOL payment options.
- Prediction Markets — 18 prediction market sites (predict.horse, predict.pics, etc.).
- Free Casino — spunk.bet with SPUNK rune ecosystem.
Not every stream generates significant revenue yet. That is the point of diversification. When you have 22 revenue streams, even modest income from each adds up. And as traffic grows, the compounding effect accelerates.
The Timeline: How It Happened
The SPUNK13 empire was not built in a day. But it was built in weeks, not years. Here is the compressed timeline:
- Foundation (early 2026) — Registered initial domains. Set up spunk.codes as the flagship tool site. Built the first batch of free tools — calculators, converters, generators. Established the dark theme design system (background #0a0a0a, light text, accent colors per site).
- Expansion (mid-March 2026) — Scaled from a handful of sites to 200+ in a matter of weeks. The key was building a template system — once the first site's design, SEO structure, and deployment pipeline were solid, replicating it across new domains was fast. Each new domain got a unique theme and niche content.
- Content Sprint — Generated 7,790 blog posts across the empire. Each post is real content — not AI slop, but researched, structured, and useful articles on topics relevant to each site's niche. Blog posts drive organic search traffic, which feeds the entire revenue engine.
- Tool Building — Built 684 tools (353 free, 331 premium). Tools range from simple calculators to complex generators, analyzers, and simulators. Free tools drive traffic. Premium tools drive revenue.
- Casino Launch — spunk.bet launched as a free-to-play casino using SPUNK runes on Bitcoin. The casino adds engagement, daily active users, and a viral sharing loop through X (Twitter).
- SEO and Indexing — Submitted 11,276 URLs to search engines via IndexNow. Generated sitemaps for every site. Every page has proper meta tags, canonical URLs, Schema.org markup, and robots directives.
The Lessons
1. Speed beats perfection.
A shipped page is infinitely better than a planned page. Every site in the empire launched with an MVP and improved over time. Waiting for perfection means never launching.
2. AI is the great equalizer.
Before tools like Claude Code, building 233 websites required either a large team or years of solo work. AI collapses the gap between ambition and execution. One person with the right AI tools can outproduce a small agency.
3. Static sites are underrated.
Most of the empire runs on static HTML. No databases. No server-side rendering. No complex backends. Static sites are fast, secure, cheap to host, and easy to maintain. For content-driven sites, there is no reason to use complex frameworks.
4. Domain names are your brand multiplier.
Owning ihardstyle.com instantly communicates what the site is about. Owning clown.best tells you it is a fun, meme-related site. Owning caffeine.best signals energy and culture. Good domain names do half the branding work for you.
5. Revenue diversification protects you.
If one income stream dies — an affiliate program changes terms, an ad network drops your CPM — 21 others keep generating. Never rely on a single source of income online.
6. SEO is a compounding investment.
Every blog post, every tool page, every properly tagged image is a potential search engine entry point. Traffic from posts written today will continue to grow for months and years. The earlier you start, the longer the compounding works in your favor.
7. Automation is non-negotiable at scale.
You cannot manually manage 233 sites. Everything that can be automated must be automated — deployments, sitemap generation, analytics setup, cross-linking, health checks. Git push and automatic Cloudflare deployment handles 90% of the operational overhead.
8. Build real value, not link farms.
Every site in the empire has real content aimed at real users. The tools work. The blog posts provide actual information. The casino is genuinely playable. Google's algorithms are sophisticated enough to distinguish between value-creating sites and empty SEO plays.
The Numbers in Context
To put the SPUNK13 empire in perspective:
- 255,618 unique visitors in the first month (Cloudflare verified analytics)
- 800,000+ pageviews across all properties
- 4.4 million requests served through Cloudflare
- 656 registered users across platforms
- 2,600+ followers on @SpunkArt13 (X/Twitter)
- Zero external funding. Zero employees. Zero debt.
These are not vanity metrics. These are Cloudflare-verified numbers from real users visiting real pages. No bot traffic. No inflated counts.
Can You Do This?
Yes. The tools I used are available to everyone. Claude Code costs $20/month. Cloudflare has a generous free tier. GitHub is free. Domain names cost a few dollars each.
The differentiator is not money or technical skill — it is execution speed and persistence. The empire was built by showing up every day, building every day, and shipping every day. No days off. No waiting for the perfect plan. Just building.
If you are thinking about starting something similar, here is my advice: start with one site. Build it well. Add tools or content that provide real value. Set up your SEO correctly from day one. Then expand. Each new site gets easier because you have refined your process.
